The Squat Is the New Kegel
September 14, 2010 by Jenn
We’ve been told forever to do our Kegels. But one expert, biomechanical scientist Katy Bowman, says that Kegels are only part of what is needed. AND if the pelvic floor has dropped (which happens to many women post-baby), Kegels can actually do more harm than good.
So what’s a Fit Bottomed Mama to do? Squat! Katy says that the new movement in women’s fitness will be the squat because the pelvic floor, hip and knee all require regular squatting for optimum health and performance.
Intrigued? Learn how to squat properly!
