I’m Thankful For…

Thanksgiving Dinner

As I gear up to celebrate Thanksgiving, I’m trying to remember that it’s not just about the delicious pumpkin pie or the yummy stuffing. It’s about family and togetherness and giving thanks! Here are the top three things I’m giving thanks for this year. What are yours?

Giving Thanks: 2010

My family! I’m so happy that my beautiful daughter arrived safe and healthy, even if she was in a big hurry to get here a month early! She is the light of our lives and more fun by the day. Also, my husband, who has turned into an amazing dad and who is never fazed by a dirty diaper. And I’m thankful for my little pug; she keeps my feet warm at night even if she drives me bonkers by day.

My body! I never fully appreciated it until having a baby, but I’m much less critical of myself now that I’ve seen what it can do. Who cares if my abs aren’t perfect? I brought a human into the world!

The library! It may sound funny, but I now live just blocks from the library, which makes having a book on hand much more convenient. I may have to renew books several times before I get through them, but reading helps me carve out some “me time” before bed.

If you’re not gobbling up turkey, share your thanks in the comments and check out what all of the FBGs are thankful for this holiday! Erin

I’m so thankful for my husband this holiday season. We are newly married, and almost 33 weeks pregnant. He’s been so wonderful through the mood swings, the weight gain, and having to do so much more to keep our household going. He makes me feel very lucky.
