Plan to do any grilling this long weekend? If you’re on the lookout for a unique recipe, try this green tea BBQ rub sent to us courtesy of Teas’ Tea. This rub is great for salmon, tofu, steak, pork loin or shrimp. The possibilities are endless!

Green Tea BBQ Rub Recipe

Ingredients
¼ c of green tea leaves (Sencha)
½ tsp of ground cumin
¼ tsp of ground pepper
¾ tsp of kosher or sea salt
2 tsp of brown sugar
½ tsp of chipotle powder

Directions
1. Blend all ingredients and grind well in mortar and pestle or food processor.
2. Drizzle olive oil on meat and massage in the rub. Let sit for 1-2 hours, before grilling on barbecue. The meat can also be grilled in a hot cast-iron frying pan.
