‘That’s it’ Fruit Bars Contain Fruit. That’s It!
As a mom, I’m constantly trying to come up with creative meal and healthy snack ideas for my toddler. It’s easy to feel like you’re offering the same foods over and over again. I try to stick to whole foods to avoid added sugar and unnecessary ingredients, but a recent find is the next best thing to whole fruit.
That’s it. bars contain fruit and nothing else. The company sent me several flavor combinations to try, so try I did. One version contained an apple and 10 cherries; another had an apple and three apricots; a third offered an apple and a pear. With just 100 calories per bar and 3 grams of fiber, the bars are gluten free, kosher and vegan. It’s truly just fruit. That’s it.
So how do they taste? Good! They’re sweet and chewy, reminding me of a natural, healthier version of Fruit Roll-Ups; they’re thicker with more chunky bits of fruit. Apple and pear was sweet and tasty, while the apricot version had a yummy tartness to it. I really liked the cherry bar, too, as I’m obsessed with cherries. These bars are the perfect option if you’re on the go and need a snack for you or your kiddos. Keep a few in your purse or diaper bag for a no-muss, no-fuss option!
