What to Expect When You’re Expecting: The Movie

I knew when the Transformers movies came out that Hollywood truly could make a movie out of any kernel of an idea. So I’m not entirely surprised to see that there’s a rom-com coming out that’s based on my fave pregnancy book, What to Expect When You’re Expecting. With a star-studded cast that includes Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz, Chris Rock, Dennis Quaid and several other familiar faces, the movie actually looks quite cute. Elizabeth Banks in particular looks charming and funny in the trailer. Check it out.

Definitely one of those silly movies that a mama-to-be—and dad, too—should enjoy. I particularly like how they included a couple who is adopting; just like fit bottoms come in all shapes and sizes, parents become parents in many different ways! Too bad we’ll have to wait until May for this one…

The trailer made me giggle and I cannot wait to see the movie! Watching pregnancy-themed movies has been a way to lighten up my pregnancy (I’m 28 weeks now). I really liked “The Waitress” and Tina Fey’s “Baby Mama”
