Fitness Don’ts from Jillian Michaels
Don’t: Have a routine. You should never have a routine when it comes to fitness. You should always be changing up your workout. You adapt! Your body stops responding…You definitely don’t want to fall into a regimen. You want to constantly change the stimulus and the workouts that you’re putting your body through.
Don’t: Rely on machines. I’m okay with machines for cardio, but the truth of the matter is, in a perfect world, I would never utilize machines. I would always utilize your own body weight because it’s going to make you more functional. This is how we operate! We utilize our body and we function on multiple planes, front to back, side to side. We don’t isolate any kind of muscle. Our body is synergizing. This is how we’re built. You want to work with your biomechanics.
