It’ll Work You From Head to Toe: Booty Camp Fitness (and a Giveaway!)

Don’t let the name fool you. Booty Camp Fitness Ultimate Home Edition 2 doesn’t just work the booty. This 11-disc set will work you from head to toe. I can assure you of this.

Booty Camp Fitness isn’t just a workout. It’s a program. With 11 discs, it’s actually a comprehensive program that’ll allow you to change up your workouts regularly and keep you from getting bored. Unlike some other DVD sets, you’re not stuck doing the same workout over and over—you’re always mixing it up.

Each disc contains a workout, hitting you from head to toe. You’ve got abs, arms, lower body, a kickboxing cardio workout, interval cardio conditioning, a jump rope session and even a stretching session. The lengths of the workouts vary too, so if you’re a busy mom (how redundant is that?) you can choose a short 20-minute session for your abs or a longer cardio workout. Mixing and matching shorter segments is also great for days when both kids sleep at the same time or you find yourself with more energy than you thought you’d have and you can add in another short session.

The set also includes three 40-ish minute boot camp workouts labeled Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. Seeing as how the Beginner workout had me taking breaks, I decided not to push it and slowly work up to the next levels. I’m still getting my mojo back, after all! The music isn’t anything to write home about, but it’s great that there’s an option to turn it off so you can play your own mix. Modifications are also great, so you can work to your ability. Look for the awesome rockin’ purple hair one of the ladies’ has and the random cat that walks into the workout at one point. Total bonuses!

FBG Rating (Out of 5):

Fit Bottom Line: If you need structure from a comprehensive program, this is a totally solid set that will get you sweating.

Argh! My internet has been out–look what I missed! My workout friend had her baby girl today and although she’s one tough cookie, I don’t think she’d be up to a boot camp workout like this just yet! What I love about these is the 20 minute option. I can handle that time frame. Purple hair and a pink jump rope to boot! No boredom here!
