We’re in the thick of fall — my favorite season — and with it brings football, tailgating and the foods that go along with those activities! But those foods don’t have to mean wings and delivered pizzas. We love this quick, easy take on pizza from Cibo Verde that can be made gluten-free by using a g-free tortilla.
Meat and Veggie Tortilla Pizza Recipe
1 ounce cooked steak
1 ounce yellow onions
2 ounces red and green peppers
2 ounces pizza sauce
3 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese
1. Place the tortilla on a baking sheet and add pizza sauce making sure to spread evenly on crust. Follow with cheese, onions, peppers and steak. Place in 350-degree oven for five minutes or until cheese has melted.
This recipe also lets kids get in the cooking game, too, so let them have fun throwing their favorite veggies on the pizza. We make pizza all the time, so I just may have to try this one out as an easy way to get rid of leftover tortillas and veggies! —Erin
