Maybe the Most Convenient Baby Bibs Around

Kids make messes. Especially 1-year-olds. Feeding time is no different. Food ends up everywhere: on the floor, on their laps, in their hair and in every nook and cranny of the highchair. My child is no different. I’m not a big fan of most bibs. I don’t like the lingering smells, the tough stains and just getting them to stay on Sadie has turned into a game. When the makers of ShamBibby asked us to give its bibs a try I figured, why not? I had nothing to lose.

If you’re anything like me, you might be seeing the ShamWow infomercial playing over and over in your mind. Yes, it’s like that. This material is the same as the cloths you are familiar with. But there are so many benefits to this material when using it for toddler messes. It is pretty easy to get started out of the package. Rinse it, give it a few twists to dry it, and it’s ready!

The length of these bibs is perfect for Sadie’s current size and will grow well with her. It is soft enough that she didn’t seem bothered by it, unlike our plastic ones in the past. I love that when I’m done with the dishes I put a little dish soap on it, hand wash it briefly, and just wring it out and leave it to dry over the sink. It really is that easy. We do talk convenience here a lot, and this is one more way to add it to your everyday life!

As far as stains, Sadie has had blueberries and the dish soap did just fine getting those marks out. Juices and sauces just roll right off under water. Our ShamBibby has remained in the same condition as when we received it through multiple uses. Plus, it’s held up and hasn’t unraveled or come apart in any way. I’m honestly pretty impressed with this and would recommend having it as a staple in your kitchen!

Do you have a love/hate with bibs, too? —Jennifer
