Are you guys listening to podcasts these days? They are all the rage right now and I know, for me at least, they can be great to listen to in the car, when you’re cleaning, while you’re working out or even when the kids are playing and you just want to have something on in the background that’s not the TV or music (because if music is playing, my child is pretty much gonna demand it’s from Moana and once “You’re Welcome” is in your head, let me just warn you: it’s not getting out for days).
When I’m listening to podcasts I feel like I’m kind of doing double-duty. There’s like the thing I’m actually doing, but while I’m doing it, I’m also learning about something new or seeing things in a new way. General multitasking can drive you crazy, but podcast multitasking is my jam. And, honestly, it can almost make you feel like you’re having adult time — like you’re right there in the podcast convos. And I love that!
I’m kind of embarrassed to say that I didn’t really get into podcasts until we started our own, but doing it has been SO AWESOME. And we’ve had some amazing guests — many of which have been moms who have dropped some serious truth bombs. The kind of truth bombs that make your eyes well up or have you nodding your head “yes” so much that you want to high-five the air.
These are those kinds of episodes … just listen!
Ayesha Curry: No one is perfect.
Molly Sims: Love your body now. When you look back, you’ll wonder why you were ever self-conscious.
Kristin McGee: Include your kids in your favorite workout.
Jillian Michaels: Your children are a mirror and force you to evolve.
Kathy Smith: What it really means to “win.”
Mary Lou Retton: Your kids learn from what you do and what you say.
Rebekah Borucki: The real way to bust a funk.
Katy Bowman: You don’t have to go to the gym to be fit.
Dr. Jessica Vogelsang: When life gives you lemons, pet a dog.
What are a few of your favorite podcasts and episodes? I’m always looking for new ones! —Jenn
